Italy and the Olympic Games

Since the First International Olympic Games in Athens, 1896, Italians have won a total of 522 Medals. The first Italian to win an Olympic Gold Medal was Count GianGiorgio Trissino, winning the equestrian high jump in Paris during the 1900 Olympic Games. Italia is sending a total of 285 athletes to compete in the London 2012 Olympics.  Good Luck ITALIA!!!
